The centre aims to conduct innovative research, provide high-quality specialized education and training programmes, and offer expert services to address critical and emerging challenges in international maritime law.
Additionally, the centre aims to foster international collaboration and promote sustainable maritime practices by facilitating dialogue between stakeholders.
The CIML aims to achieve the following objectives:

Advance research and innovation in maritime law
Enhance education and capacity building by providing specialised training (including professional (online) courses and micro degrees
Support policy development and legal harmonisation through science-based approaches
Foster stakeholder engagement and collaboration by organising seminars, workshops and conferences.
